We all have that nagging voice in the back of our head, especially when it comes to work - “Should I have said that?  I’m not qualified for that senior job opportunity. Am I living up to expectations?” Not to mention the stress of 2020 - whether it’s working remotely, becoming a teacher in addition to mom, navigating a layoff or team changes - certainly isn’t helping our self-confidence.

The research shows that we, as women, are our own worst critics. Does this ring true for you? We tend to hold ourselves to higher standards than others do. We over analyze conversations we’ve had, wishing we had shown up or spoken in a different way. This internal chatter forces us to not show up as our full, best selves. Why not change that? Why not look at ourselves, and how we show up to the world, differently, by rebelling against the way we’ve been taught to?

But - how?

The Rebel Women have invited Velera Wilson, successful marketer, speaker and career coach, to a candid conversation about shifting from insecurity to confidence.  For many years, Velera struggled with self-doubt, and it impacted her career and relationships until she decided her future demanded she address it. Now she’s committed to helping other women do the same and recently authored "You're Absolutely Worth It: Release Self-Doubt, Embrace Confidence, and Own Your Yes” to share her personal learnings.

Come ready on October 28th to ask questions and share your own life lessons in this interactive discussion. As an added bonus - we will be giving away copies of Velera’s book to a few lucky attendees!
